Initially a Fine Arts graduate and an interior designer for 16 years post graduating, Haitham Ahmed AbdelGhaffar founded and started SAM PRODUCT DESIGN after facing specific limitations in the Egyptian market regarding lighting design.
What started as a solution for a design problem in the market quickly boomed into a successful brand of 6 years so far specializing in product design. The brand revolves around making designs that are unique, one of a kind, and of the best quality all locally and handmade in Egypt.
Haitham AbdelGhaffar brings together his knowledge in interior, arts, and now specialization in product design, creating a brand that offers locally and internationally products that truly capture the essence of design, aesthetic, and functionality.
MARYAM SAMY:
Graduated from GUC Applied Sciences and Arts with a major in Product design; I’ve always had a love for anything and everything related to design and beauty.
I initially started as an intern at SAM PRODUCT DESIGN during my college years then later on officially joined the team as the first recruited designer in 2020 when the brand opened its first showroom. My passion for designing and styling doesn’t only stop at designing the products, but extends to meeting clients and choosing the best options for them that fit their home the most.
AMENA LOTFY :
Graduated from GUC Applied Sciences and Arts with a Product design major, I’ve always been passionate for crafts, decorations and everything maximalist and colourful.
I’ve had many internships during university years one of which was in Sam Product Design in 2018, and then joined the team officially in 2020 when the brand opened the first showroom. Being a small team makes us always involved in the whole process from the initial idea of a product to its final destination at a client’s home, it’s always exciting seeing a sketch turn into someone’s favourite piece in their homes.
MARIAM WALID:
Mariam a product designer with a background in creating clear, thoughtful artisanal and functional lighting and home decor products that elevates and add layers to a space. Graduated from the German International University and have been part of this team nearly two years , working on everything from early stage concepts to polished, production ready designs. What drives her work is finding that balance between simplicity and depth making sure every detail has a purpose and every interaction makes sense.
